NASA names headquarters after Mary W. Jackson

NASA Administrator announced Wednesday that the agency’s headquarters building in Washington, D.C., will be named after Mary W. Jackson, the first African American female engineer at NASA.  Jackson was part of a group of very important women who helped NASA succeed in getting American astronauts into space, which later went on to be the inspiration fr the movie “Hidden Figures”. She dedicated her life to pushing the frontiers of the aerospace industry and will now be forever honored through the Mary W.
