The Power of S.M.A.R.T Goals

Setting objectives is a crucial part of establishing a sense of direction. SMART goals are a wonderful method to define specific and direct objectives. The term SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. The SMART approach assists you in achieving your goals by examining them from several perspectives.

SMART Goals Are Described As:

Specific: Focused, detailed, and well defined
Measurable: With defined criteria that track your progress toward achieving your objective
Achievable: Attainable
Realistic: Within your grasp, reasonable, and relevant to your mission
Timely: With a clearly defined timeline that includes a start and end date. The goal is to generate a sense of urgency.

The video below does an excellent job of demonstrating how to accomplish each of the SMART goal elements.
