Illumina Executive Pat Leckman Joins SD2 Board

San Diego, CA: San Diego Squared (SD2), a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering underrepresented students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) is excited to share that Pat Leckman, the Chief People Officer at Illumina, Inc., has joined their Board of Directors.

“We’re honored to welcome Pat Leckman to our board of directors,” said Bill Rastetter, founder of San Diego Squared and chairman of the board. “Her wealth of experience, leadership, and commitment to inclusive excellence perfectly align with our mission. I, along with the other members of the Board, look forward to collaborating with Pat and harnessing her expertise to develop the next generation’s innovative, diverse and talented STEM workforce.”

Pat Leckman joins SD2 with a successful track record for leading workforce transformations, driving business growth, and creating high-impact teams. As Chief People Officer, she is responsible for all aspects of the company’s HR strategies and leads teams around the world in designing, contracting, and implementing agreements and joint ventures. She’s transformed different aspects of Illumina’s human resources department and has helped clients with business process redesign, vendor assessment, outsourcing, and transition management throughout her career.

 

By joining the SD2 board, Pat is excited to contribute to SD2’s mission to transform the future of the STEM workforce.
